    Reflection on this quarter
    I am so glad that we started our placement as early as we can because it is one of the key factors helping me put all of my lessons for my work sample together. It’s great to have as many as opportunities to get to know and work with the students whom I am going to work with for half time. I also feel that the lesson plan rubrics are helpful for my planning. I know that it requires a lot of work but I think it would be good for me to get use to it. It helps me realize that when I plan to teach something, it’s not only for fun, but it also needs to be engaged the students to learn. Moreover, the content needs to be appropriate for the students. Technology of course makes a big impact on students if we can integrate it into our lessons. A picture can worth a thousand words so if we can use technology with our instruction, it would definitely create a big impact. I feel so grateful for our cohort members because they are really supportive. We have a lot of fun together and I think as we keep going, we will need that support from each other. I really appreciate that.

    Steps to make sure my work sample is ready
    My next steps in making sure my work sample ready are:
    • Talk to CT about my plans, specific lesson plans and make sure to ask what materials she has and what materials I need to prepare myself
    • To make sure everything is on track by talking to cohort leader, check in with supervisor and CT regularly about the work sample
    • Discuss with CT about assessment and differentiation teaching methods to make sure it’s appropriate for the students
    • Share with cohort member ideas and plans
    • Be at the placement with the students as much as I can
    • Willing to try out new thing. Take the initiative to ask CT for help and feedback
    • Share with CT lesson plans and ideas for feedback
